Tiny White Dog Saves Baby Red Pandas

Oh Hai!

I am quite fond of these inter species surrogate stories.  I admire the selflessness of this little white dog (yes, I know I am anthropomorphizing the dog).

Two red panda cubs were abandoned by their mother shortly after their birth on June 25th at the Taiyuan Zoo in northern China’s Shanxi province.  They were then adopted by a small white dog.  The little dog belongs to a nearby farmer.  She is raising the cubs along side her own pup, sometimes choosing to nurse the pandas over the pup.  The pandas are thriving thanks to their surrogate.
