Cute Animal Sunday Asks the Question, “Can You Be Too Cute?”

Oh Hai!

The answer to that question is, possibly.  These little momonga or Japanese dwarf flying squirrels are indescribably adorable.  See for yourself.

These Japanese cuties can be found mainly on Honshu and Kyushu Islands.  The head and body length of the momonga is 120 to 228 mm, and the tail length is between 108 and 127 mm.   They are silvery to buffy gray in color.  The gliding membrane extends from the ankles to the wrists.  Momonga make their homes in evergreen forests and locate their moss nests at the junction of a branch and the main tree.  They blend so well with the coloration of the tree bark that they practically become invisible.  That is a great help when it comes to avoiding predators.  The diet of Japanese flying squirrels consists of nuts, pine seeds, the buds and bark of certain trees, fruits, and probably some insects.  When they are not flying about the evergreen forest, Momonga have been known to be kept as pets and they play a role in the world of Yughio.  Yes, they have their own Yughio character.

I don’t know anything about Yughio, but this card looks like fun.    Enjoy the cuteness for tomorrow is Monday.

Thank You For Your Consideration,

The Graham Ten
